An update is required to continue playing Phantasy Star Online 2. The game will update automatically after starting the Launcher. Alternatively, you can press the "File Check" button to force the update.

If you are downloading the game for the first time, you will have to download an additional 7GB patch after installation.

Phantasy Star Online 2 will be undergoing emergency maintenance on February 25th, 2013.

Patch Notes

  • Corrected a bug where Equipment Set Effects were not applied correctly.
  • Corrected a bug where an item drop from Nordiransa had blank details. This item was removed from the game, however, they have confirmed that it might show up as a blank space in your Weapon Collection menu at the Visiphone.
  • Corrected a bug where under certain conditions, the game would crash when saving symbol art from history.
  • Corrected a bug where some hairstyles clipped through the body.
  • Corrected a bug where the input form would change when entering text.
  • Corrected a bug with gamepads where the button that closes the weapon/subpalette moved to another location.
  • For load reduction measures when searching for items in My Shop, items will be removed from the market and sent to the special storage box after 60 days have passed based on the date and time from (1) when you last logged in or (2) when the My Shop expires; whichever number of days is greater.

For compensation, they will distribute "Rare Drop Boost + 250%" x1 "Grind Success + 20%" x1 and "Grind Risk Reduction (-1)" x6 if you logged in between February 20th, 2013 through February 25th, 2013 prior to maintenance. These will be sent to your special storage sometime in the future.

The following Campaign rewards will be distributed on Feb 28th, 2013

  • Emergency Quest Campaign 5
  • Valentine's Campaign -2-
  • Comeback and Thanks Campaign

Friend Invitation System Bug

  • There is a bug where you may not receive the items for the Friend Invitation System even when you reach level 30. The Development Team will correct this problem and distribute the missing items some other time.

  • 3.4 GBs
  • 40 MBs if Pre-Patched

If you are downloading the game for the first time, you will have to download a 7GB patch.

Update Notes Preview

Premium Space

  • A new feature will be added that will allow a certain number of premium set users to enter within full blocks.
  • The number of premium blocks will be revised.

Aesthetic Counter

  • Premium set players that use the Aesthetics Ticket may re-use that counter for a certain amount of time.

Matter Board

  • A new feature will allow players to search matters simultaneously.

 Hunter balance Changes

  • Increase the amount of PP recovered during normal attacks with Swords, Partisans, and Wired Lances
  • Made the Just Attack Timing somewhat quicker for Swords and Wired Lances
  • Increase the amount the Gear Gauge fills for Wired Lance and Swords

Quest Unlocking Order Changes

Eased some of the difficulty for earlier parts in the game. Some of Koffee's Client Orders have been adjusted as described below.

  • Changed some of the unlocking conditions
  • Larger amounts of EXP (Better Rewards)
  • Relaxed some of the clear conditions

These changes apply to the Mag License and all area/free-field unlocking client orders.

Some Client Orders adjusted

  • Relaxed some of the target enemy levels for Hans' quests
  • Relaxed some of the target enemy levels for Revelle's quest
  • Improved the rewards for Echo's Client Orders

In addition to this, there are plans to revise other client orders as well. (Did not specify when…)

 

2/20/2013 Pre-Patch

If you had difficulty obtaining the pre-patch for February 20th, 2013, you can download the patch files manually and place them into your installation directory.

Today's scheduled maintenance will occur at a different time.

PSUBlog Vacation

  • 2/21 Thursday: No morning and afternoon updates. (EST)
  • 2/22 Friday: No updates.
  • 2/23 Saturday: No updates.
