Alter Realm Exploration Update
- From May 5th to May 20th the Great Rappy Suppression Trial will occur in the Alter Realm Exploration: Combat Sectors: Altered Battle Line: Tundra Area Gorge.
- Legend.4 Lexio series and ★14 Evalto Armor will be among the drops this period.
- Also drops will include items required for upgrading the ★14 Spradio series, as well as, the Skill Rings released in April.
- Limited Time Tasks will reward Super Origin Festival '25 SP Scratch Tickets.
Limited Emergency Quest: Planetcrusher Assault D.2
- Malignant Dark Falz Dalion vs 8 ARKS.
- It is easier than the Major Target Suppression Mission

In addition to the new arrivals for May, the outfits worn by Nadereh and Meri in the April Fools Nyantasy Star video, as well as, Idle Motions that recreate their poses are now available!

Realm Investigation: Ruins

This field is being developed as a new experience different from the previous combat sectors and exploration sectors. Details will be shared in the next Headline.
ARKS Operation Report

For content released after June, we will replace the Gold Primms drops with Endymio Capsules.
M.A.R.S. is significantly inferior in power compared to players with the best equipment.
Even after the recent enhancements its performance has decreased for most players.
Are there any plans for adjustments?
There are no changes to the policy regarding MARS balance adjustments that we previously communicated. But in June, they will review the power levels to match the current enhancement status of the player's equipment. It will be made to match your current Battle Power.
Nyantasy Star
Since it's Nyantasy Star, it's all about cats! The Rappy is a cat, and so are Aina, Manon, Kanui–all cats. Since it was April Fools, they drew it with a totally over the top, tongue-in-cheek, secret backstory, like everyone has turned into cats. The logo is packed with cat themes and little details.
The Super Origin festival version is more like an epilogue. The backdrop is like Cat Rappy Suppression where Meri and Nadereh defeated the Cat Rappy and cleared the quest. Thus, Halpha was de-catified!
To be fair, you can't really get rid of Rappies, so they might come out and play sometime.

Yet Another NIJISANJI Collab
- NGS will be holding a collab with Virtual Livers from NIJISANJI and NIJISANJI EN.
- The four Livers will be:

- Expect outfits, hairstyles, accessories, and camos.
Central! Animated Shorts
- 24 strips have been selected to be turned into animated shorts.
- These will feature an original voiceover of the Japanese cast, and have English subtitles.
- Two episodes will be shown after the end of each Headline Wave starting today.
Next NGS Headline

we are returning to base PSO2 maps, hopefully that also means we'll meet some familiar faces as well….
They couldn't even be bothered to upgrade the textures in the Ruins… we're cooked bro
I mean they have been doing their absolute best to reuse all assets for years. Nothing out of the ordinary.
It is this or the copy paste cube dimension. I was thinking about cocoon/yellow/purple/cannonball/half the LQ selection when I wrote that, but then I remembered this also describes the crimson realm, so yeah I mean both.
PSO2 had really good fields compared to NGS so I'll take a clash on texture resolution and lower polygon count if they can make something cool out of it. Functionally they are the same, in NGS they are hallways made out of cubes, but in PSO2 they are pretty unique hallways made to fit a designed environment. Plus it seems like they removed the invisible walls so the hallways part may be gone now.
I've said since the beginning that NGS would be a lot cooler if instead of cocoons we had dungeons with PSO1 maze style design, I think going into a VR zone with PSO2 assets would be fine if they fixed the enemy spawns (in PSO2 enemies spawned waaaay too late after walking inside a grid of the map, which made it easy to ignore everything or else you'd have to awkwardly wait for enemies to jump in) and prevented rushing to the exit.
