  1. I didn't even realize there are leechers for those Gigantix. I usually just tried to stay out of the way when they appeared, since I don't know how OP people can be right now so I don't want to bother them, but there was a time when I run around the lake to gather grinders and a lot of high-level people were hanging around there to wait for Gigantix. I didn't know much about Gigantix at the time, or even the level difference thing, so I end up shooting at it with 1 damage because it spawned right next to me. Well it was before the time limit extended, so it vanished pretty quickly.

Sometimes I wonder why do they made two separate requirements on things, like the Gigantix and EQ where one requires max level and the EQ requires BP. Some real trolls could join in a Gigantix and use blank prim sets, or some ambitious guy that have high BP but couldn't deal damage on EQ because his level is too low.

    • I believe SEGA is just testing an idea out. Since the Gigantix is pretty much like a EQ itself. But appear during random Heavy Storm and not a Notification like the EQ. Pretty much giving player options to grind for I believe.

    • You can't have high BP but low level because level contributes to BP.
The reason we've got both BP and Level requirements on gigantix is because Sega sadly believed people have the integrity and restraint to not engage content they're not capable of doing in hopes of getting a free carry.

  2. What was the level range again? 5?
So if I'm 15 and the enemies are 20, I'm useless, even if I have gear that used to be *15 and *13?
    Great.

  3. I really can't understand how people can always find something to complain about. This is an amazing change. We needed this because low level players kept ruining the fights, even if they didn't intend to. The only thing I could possibly see an issue with here is that the Gigas stay in the fight now, so the sense of urgency is gone. But it does make me wonder what kind of reward the level 64 Giga would've dropped…

    • Same, I prefer the pressure of Gigantix to be around for a limited time but well… Most of the changes seem right to me.

  4. Sure is weird how there's a handful of people saying this is stupid idea yet they're not elaborating on WHY its dumb. Like you may as well just put a sign on your head that says "i'm a filthy leecher how dare you stop me Sega"

    • BP – while flawed it's the best thing to show how much shit you can do. It is derived from multiple things including level which makes level as a measuring tool redundant and thus stupid (I said that in earlier post but you people didn't get it). We already have BP for UQs and +- few leechers on 32 field ain't gonna change much.
When I leeched other classes my sub was multi raifu/lawnchair Ra that did 10% or so less damage than if I was maining Ra (there are always enough weakbullets on gigani). But despite the fact that I can contribute almost as well as my main I can't do that because of stupid level penalty.
Meanwhile game allows low level players to do UQs because they have enough BP to do them but they can't do damage because it's again the stupid level penalty!

During Ragnarok Online times (at least pre-renewal) RO was one of rare MMOs that had no stupid level penalties which allowed you to take on anything as long as you could bring it down, it was all down to your and your party stats and ability. Thus you could enjoy any content with your friends which made it really great. Now, at present, we have PSO2.5:NGS which went back to shitty MMO design with level locks and added it here to prevent people from enjoying the game with friends. Thanks HMZK.

    • @Kyaa

Shoutout to a fellow old school Ragnarok player.

Anyways, I agree with you on certain points, but comparing Giga's to Ragnarok bosses is a bit different. Those bosses were static spawns that you could always farm. Giga's are a little different.

Removing the time limit is kind of stupid because the urgency is now gone along with the challenge. Now you can just stand there and wail until it dies instead of actually going for broke to beat the timer. Sega should have either gone full blown let them roam for extended periods and let everyone be able to contribute so it's not as much of a detriment to higher levels, or just stuck with the timer and just gated it for high level play. The waffling is what's wrong with the decision.

  5. Those that are against this change are either wanting to be carried, not leveled enough and are in the wrong areas, or just not willing to put in the strong effort to level enough to be useful on the team.

You can have *13 units and *15 weapons from the Classic, but it's not going to take you fully past 15 without holding you back from potential.

Strongly recommend you take the time to get your BP up too as well as your level in the rank 2/Resol Forest area… Not hard at all and a simple grind.

  6. Man, how many of you guys are leechers to be complaining about this?
I can't tell who's saying SEGA should have done this in the first place, and who's saying it's a stupid decision.

  8. for people who still complaining at BP and level requirement, try to see through everything once again. you might really got blown up when you see what is going on out of your sight that is in the developer's radar. while you complain about literally everything that hinder your "gameplay" and how you enjoy the contents. im sure there are much more that you're missing out.

    1. bots and rmt even cheat or whatever. self explanatory.
    2. "true" leechers who does nothing by standing in the corner but still get drops. ofc, a lvl 20 and a 1300+Bp can always do this, but you'll risk your acc to be permabanned.
    3. they are testing new ideas. new contents> waiting for player feedbacks> fix if needed. new ideas doesnt mean it should be perfect upon landing. personally speaking, if its already done multiple of times and they still suck at it, all of your complainings are a bit justified. but almost everything in NGS has never been done in PSO2. therefore, they will need everything they can get from players feedback and will keep on trying to "fix" things. if the current state of the game does more harm on you, you can always opt out and wait for it to get better. remember that NGS and PSO2 system is different. such flaws here and there are expected even for SEGA. they can just copy paste the general mmo system if you really want bot and leechers to flourish.

by going to lv 20 and meeting required BP means that you're really playing the game. new players can get to lv 20 with less than a week why does it sounds so difficult for some people i just dont get it. you're not even required to lvl cap every classes too. just stick with your preferred class and grind to lv 20 without capped sub and get an average equipments from doing weekly and you're pretty much good to go for gigas and literally evey contents available.

  9. It's funny how there's always those people who demand reasons why penalties/level locking is bad but never do they actually give any insight as to why they are needed besides the usual "leechers" answer, the only thing that comes to mind is they have PTSD from PSO2 non-expert(maybe?) leechers
"level contributes to BP" – let's say 2 players with same weapons, units and affixes and play the same the same class but one is lvl 19 and the other is lvl 20, the difference in BP is literally like 10 BP, that's like +1-2 more dmg than the lvl 19 player
"level penalty is needed" – YES PSO2 had level penalty when entering a higher difficulty with minimum level, but GUESS WHAT you only got like a -30% exp received penalty, which was almost negligible because you could still PLAY
"complaining auto-tags you as a leecher" – Well, I really don't know what to say about this, but sure keep following your blind judgement?

  10. ROFL Blazekidz with his bullshit logic once again. Just level up to 20. Not even that hard to level up to max right now. You know why complaining makes you look like a leecher? Because there are no other people who are bitching about this other than the leechers.
