It's that time of year again on PSO2. Sega has decked the halls of the lobby with Christmas themed decorations and prepared the third iteration of the Merry Christmas on Ice Emergency Quest!

Return to Harukotan with the third chapter of Episode 3's story in a new quest and Matter Board, and tough out a new round of Emergency Quests receiving an Extra Hard difficulty mode.

• Defeat Alonagahda for a chance to receive its 11★ chip.
• Trade in those chips for new items at the Recycle Shop!
• Some chips contain a bonus effect that applies within this Emergency Quest.
• You can bring up detailed information about an item/chip by performing a long press on the icon that displays within the EQ Reward Information screen.
• Damage values will be displayed in a descending order for each character participating in the Emergency Quest at the EQ Rewards screen.

• Risa [Anniversary]: Attacks deal bonus damage towards Darkers for a long while.
  • Limited Effect: Strengthens attack power in the Scarlet King Emergency Quest.

Some of the New Weapons

13★ Weapons

• ラムダグラインダー (Lambda Grinder) required for Grinding
• Attribute value maxed at 60.
• Owner binding occurs when the weapon is either grinded, attribute grinded, ability unlocked, or affixed.

About Lambda Grinders

• Trade in 50 Excubes at the Excube shop to get 1 Lambda Grinder.
• You can also acquire them from Zieg's Shop.

EXP Cap Bonus Item

• The bonus items obtained at the level cap are now "Class Excubes."
• You can acquire some skill points by turning in these "Class Excubes" at specific Client Order NPCs.
• "Class Excubes" can be traded in to receive normal Excubes at the Recycle Shop.

Quest

• Stopped the display of EXP values from overlapping when several of them are shown upon clearing a quest.
• Level 17 PA/Tech disks native to the advance quest will drop in Super Hard Advance Quests.

Partners

• Partners can use the following class skills:
  • Sharp Shooter
  • Critical Strike
  • Long Time Assist
• Partners will no longer withdraw from the current party when you choose a quest from the Campship.
• You can now choose to have the Support Partner go out on Client Order quests without them physically leaving the room.

Enemy

• Mr. Bowan's Emergency Trial won't start up if it gets attacked by anything other than Player Characters or Enemies.
• Parallel Area enemy levels are now standardized for each difficulty.

Class Skill Adjustments

• The Gear decreasing value for Gunner's [Toughness Time] has been adjusted to 0%.
• The latent ability [Perfect Calamity] has been adjusted to conform to Perfect Keeper's changes.
• Fighter Skill [Limit Break] will now display an effect.
• Bouncer Skill [Step Advance] will also work on weapons other than Jet Boots and Dual Blades.

Photon Art Adjustment

• Made adjustments to the photon art behavior for Partisan's Pick Up Throw, and Double Saber's Fake Capture. Enemies that can't be grabbed will still receive damage despite not being picked up from the Photon Art.

Technic Adjustments

• Adjusted Zondeel so that the person who activated the technic can trigger its bonus effect.

Trial Adjustments

• Relaxed the number of Darchymes and reduced the range in which they spawn for some quests.

Boss Adjustments

• Reduced the amount of HP that increases for some bosses with prefixed names.
• Adjusted the Raid HP shared in the entire Ship for Raging Dark Arms.

Potential Ability Adjustment

• The potential ability [Prayer's Form] has been buffed.

Client Order Adjustments

• [Creepy Seabed Crawlers] has been buffed so that the EXP it gives is comparable to other client orders of the same caliber.

Other Adjustments

• Adjusted the files that download during a Game Update.
• An icon will display on the Friends List when login notifications are set for Friends.
• An [online status] icon will display on the Friends List when friends are in the same area.
• The Sub-Palette will display the name of the current slot. This feature can be turned ON/OFF in Settings.
• In the PC version, [Resta] [Anti] [Shifta] and [Deband]'s (animation) effects have been adjusted.
• Weapons of 7 ~ 9★ rarity will no longer bind on equip. However, the owner registration status will remain on items already bound.
• You can now add up to 5 items as materials for Ability Affixing.
• Items with more abilities than the base item can be used as materials in Ability Affixing.
• You can see information about the current set effect in action at the Character Information window.
• Added an option to [Overwrite Current Equipment] in the My Set menu.
• Changed the amount the "Bat" accessory can be moved when adjusting the placement of the accessory.
• Items on the accessory list will be sorted by types of item.
• Adjusting the placement for earrings and other similar accessories will be done symmetrically.
• The Community Menu has undergone the following changes:
  • The icon for new notifications will display when you receive comments with a Good Job.
  • The number for new events will display on the Communication History menu.
  • A menu to display comments without Good Jobs has been added.
  • A menu to display multi-party players has been added.
• Added an option to [Send a Good Job] in the menu displayed in the Crafting Request list.
• Added an [Earned Titles #] to the Play Achievements menu.
• Expanded the effective range for Moon and Cosmo Atomizers.
• Players who revive others with Moon or Cosmo Atomizers will now receive FUN points.
• Added a function to notify others nearby when a player becomes incapacitated. This can be changed in Options.
• Added an entry to set an Autoword when boarding the A.I.S.
• There are now 2 distinct Autoword options for when the player acquires a rare item, and when their allies acquire a rare item. 
• You can now group people in your friends list. The friends list will sort by default to group color.
• In the [Destroy the Warship's Power Source] emergency trail, the catapult will appear even after a certain amount of time has passed.
• Extreme Passes can be received automatically upon logging in.
• Weapons and Units acquired by Emergency Trial rewards may have several abilities attached.
• When a player's subclass levels up, it will now only display the message for Party Members.
• Player characters can now stand upon the Panel Board above the Quest Counter.
• NPCs who wish to give you a present due to their friendship rating will now display a Present icon overhead.
• The [Lobby Map] window will display NPC icons as semi-transparent if they are not in the current or selected area.
• The [Anyan Flower] room item will now respond to more Lobby Actions.
• Added a function to display the icon of the storage box in order to know which storage box the item is in. In addition, each storage box was given their own separate icons.
• In the preview window, when you select a costume your character cannot currently equip, it will now display another character that can model the item for you.
• The preview window can now play the sound effects for the Lobby Action.
• It will now display the name of the Lobby Action when attempting to [Mimic] a Lobby Action you do not have.
• The Casino Coin Exchanger will display the number of Casino Coins you currently have.
• You can now view the branched contents of some events in the Event Chronicle.
• Weekly Ranking will be totaled on Mondays at 7:00 JST instead of 0:00 JST.
• Interrupt Rankings will no longer occur randomly and will instead come pre-scheduled.
• Emergency Quest and Enemy Attack Ranking can now occur while both these events are active.
