PSO2 Japan: Weekly Maintenance

Phantasy Star Online 2 Japan will undergo weekly maintenance during the following times:

  • Wednesdays at 11:00 ~ 17:00 JST
  • Tuesdays at 10:00 PM ~ 4:00 AM Eastern
  • Other Time Zones

It looks like we reached the cap, unfortunately as of July 9th, 2012, Ships 1 through 5 and 10 are closed. You can create a new character on Ships 6 through 9 instead. These restrictions are set to last for 1 to 2 weeks.

Ship 6 Block 20 seems to be a new refugee server for English players but at this point it's best that we meet up on Block 20/30 on each ship.

 

Phantasy Star Online 2 International Release in Early 2013

Well the wait is over, Phantasy Star Online 2 is finally coming outside of Japan and onto our shores. According to the press release sent to PSO-World:

SAN FRANCISCO & LONDON – July 9th, 2012 – SEGA® of America, Inc. and SEGA® Europe Ltd today announced that free-to-play multiplayer action RPG Phantasy Star Online 2 will be coming to North America and Europe in 2013. For a first look at this new entry in the legendary Phantasy Star series, check out the official Phantasy Star Online 2 teaser site at www.pso2.com.

Phantasy Star Online 2’s features include:

  • July 9th, 2012 @ 11:00 AM ~ 4:00 PM JST 
  • July 8th, 2012 @ 10:00 PM ~ 3:00 AM EDT
  • Other Time Zones

Maintenance Contents

  • To change the number of blocks on each ship in response to the number of concurrent connections and premium block status.
  • To set a limit to the number of characters that can be made on Ship 10.

There's also an English community on Ship 10, so if you are new you should try to join them as quick as possible since Ship 1 through 5 are all full.
