PSO2 JP: Mag Raising Campaign

Campaign Conditions:

  • To all those who raised a mag to level 30 or above by the time the campaign ends will receive the following prize.

Campaign Prize

  • レアドロップ倍率＋50％ ×2個
  • Rare Drop Boost +50% (x2)

Campaign Period

  • September 5th ~ October 10th, 2012 @ 11:00 JST

Item Code Distribution Date

Even if you have multiple mags that clear the campaign conditions, you will still receive two "Rare Drop Boost +50%" items. In order to qualify for this prize you must log in during the campaign period. If you have a mag prior to the start of this campaign who has already reached level 30, you will also get the prize. PSO2 JP: Patch (9/05/2012)

In order to continue playing Phantasy Star Online 2, you are required to update your game. When you open the launcher, press the “ファイルチェック” file check button to begin the patching process. You can also just start the game and it will begin patching automatically.

Launcher is currently:

  • Version 01.02.07

Client Update

You can confirm these version numbers at the lower left corner of the Launcher, and lower right corner of the Game Client.

Patch Size

  • 122MB

Patch Notes

  •  "New Power" trailer video has been added to the game.
  • This video can be seen in the lobby monitors.
  • Examined and performed some countermeasures against cheats/malicious acts.

(If you are downloading the game for the first time, you will have to download an update which requires 3.8GBs of free space.)

PSO2 Nprotect GameGuard Issues (9/04/2012)

Gameguard was updated on Tuesday, September 4th. According to Sega, they have identified the source of the problem based on the reports everyone sent in. If you notice the problems continue, that is related to a different problem and is not covered by the update performed on Tuesday. So they ask that you send them an email just like before.

Sega would like to collect data related to this problem in order to investigate the cause of this malfunction. Please kindly send this information outlined below.

In your installation directory, look for a folder called "GameGuard":

  • Attach all .erl extension files and Dxdiag file. (You can generate a PSO2 Dxdiag file in the settings menu in the launcher.)
  • Compress all of these files into one file that takes up to 5MB of space. If the file size is larger you can also split up the files if you want to.
  • Within the email write about the 「ご利用のセキュリティソフト」(Security Software) you use and the「不具合詳細」(Bugs) you've noted.
  • Send an email to 　pso2log@sega.co.jp

This email is only used for collecting information about this GameGuard update and can not reply to any inquiries.

 

Press 環境情報ファイルの出力 to create a pso2_dxdiag.txt file.

This file will be located in your Phantasy Star Online 2 (My Documents) folder.

Based on Twitter and BBS chatter the following issues have been reported by players:

  • Your copy of Windows is no longer Genuine.
  • Blue Screens of Death on Game Start-up
  • Firefox and Chrome freezing.
  • Firefox freezing on pages that require Flash.
  • Keyboard and Mouse malfunction.
  • Various essential Windows processes no longer responding.
  • Conflict with the Comodo Internet Security
