Today, Phantasy Star Online 2 has been updated with new content.

AC Shop Item Name Change

Item Pack Expansion 10 (x5)'s name has been changed but will still function the same as it did before.

Option Menu Changes

  • The Detailed Model Count will now have a maximum value of 100 regardless of the PC's specs.

Graphical Changes

  • Adjusted the way ribs are shown on female bodies.

Balance and Client Order Changes

  • Because Joseph's _ _ Training IV client orders were not easy to understand, they have revised the explanation and changed the designated weapon needed to complete the order.
  • Eased the difficulty by adjusting the enemy levels for Story Quests 3 and 4.
  • Eased the difficulty by adjusting the time limits for some client orders.

Bug Fixes

  • Corrected a bug where your text written in the Chat settings menu would disappear.
  • Corrected a bug where the Caterdran would not show up and disappear.
  • Corrected a bug where the moon atomizer wouldn't revive.
  • Corrected a bug where the screen would freeze for a moment if there were too many characters in the lobby and such.
  • Covered more ground in correcting the bug where the room items would automatically change directions.

Maintenance Notes

  • When choosing a hairstyle or accessory in the Aesthetics Counter there is a bug where there are several entries that show a no symbol. If you choose one of these entries and try to apply it, an error message will pop up.

PSO2 JP: Patch (8/8/2012)

An update is required in order to continue playing Phantasy Star Online 2. After you launch the game, press the “ファイルチェック” file check button to begin the patching process. (Or you can just Launch the game to start the patching process.)

Launcher is currently:

  • Version 01.02.07

Client Update

You can confirm these version numbers at the lower left corner of the Launcher, and lower right corner of the Game Client.

Patch Size

  • 1.2 GBs

PSO2 JP: Japanese Connections Only!

There is now a clause in the PSO2 JP Terms of Service that mentions that the connection to the game server is restricted to only those within Japanese territory. It is prohibited to connect directly to the game server outside of Japan as well as connect via a Japanese computer terminal outside of Japan.

In other words, they do not want foreign connections to the game anymore. If you are playing outside of Japan it's best you stay low and quiet. This clause was once mentioned before in the Closed Beta test but was removed and has now returned.
