Japan Playstation Network Restoration + Elenor Limited Edition

Sony of Japan has released a press release stating how they are starting a phased restoration plan for Japan and Asia territories. Service should begin to be reopened by the morning of Saturday May 28th, 2011, which at the time of this writing should be occurring now. Once service is online, you will be able to perform the following activities:

Service Restoration
- Service Restoration to Playstation Network and Qrocity services, requiring a password change.
- Online play with Playstation 3 and Playstation Portable.
- Trophies, chat capability, Friends list.
- Playstation Home.
- Torne.

Playstation in Asia and Japan territories will offer a Welcome Back program that offers one to choose 2 out of the 5 games for free for each platform.

Instead of using the PSP, Sign into the Playstation Network on the computer using your Japanese account email address and password. It will send you a message like the screenshot above informing you that the password reset instructions were sent to your email address. It can take up to 24 hours to receive this email.

Type in your new password, it must be at least 8 alphanumeric characters. Once you are done you can press the bottom button and leave the page.

Elenor Plastic Modeling Kit

As for the Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity + Setting Materials collection, it will talk in further detail about Infinity Missions and rare drops. The Elenor Plastic Modeling kit is expected to release around 5/24. The Sega store still lists its release date as sometime in May. So you can paint it, remodel it and make your own custom character.

Plastic Modeling Kits look very complicated.

AmiAmi will sell this kit also for about 31 USD. So we aren't locked out of getting this one too.

Phantasy Star Illustration Contest 2011

A long time ago, Sega announced an illustration contest where the winners would have their artwork shown in the lobby for Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity. Now with these 10 exceptional artists chosen, all we have to do is wait for the Playstation Network to come back up to see them. Also, as for the lack of updates last week, it was Golden Week in Japan, although it appears Sakai was still working.

It reminds you of the original cover art for the PSO soundtrack. However the Rappy and the Nurse are facing towards you. [+]

Nagisa vs Hyuga by Tsukitsuba

A slightly stylized image featuring the confrontation of two individuals. [+]

They drew all the rappies from PSO. Both their love and cuteness are infinite. [+]
