Phantasy Star Online 2 Vita Opening and Promo Video

Two new videos released today, the Opening and Promo videos for the PlayStation Vita version of Phantasy Star Online 2.

 

The Promo Video outlines a list of features coming to the Vita version, including symbol art, my room, 12 person multiparty areas, random fields, seamless weather, interrupt events, and photon blasts among other things. The PlayStation Vita version will collaborate with PlayStation mascots, Toro and Kuro, whom you can invite to your party after completing their client orders. The video also emphasizes that you can use the same characters on both the PC and Vita version through multi-platform play.

The Chrome Dragon

This weekend, Phantasy Star Online 2 Vita was on display at Jump Festa, and those in attendance got a chance to see the new promo video. When Shougai attended the event, they learned of a new dragon boss that appears on the PSO2 Vita's Special Package cover. He is simply known as the "Chrome Dragon." We don't have much details about him other than that he makes an appearance at a turning point in the story.

Based on the screenshots, it appears he's a bipedal dragon who can leap into the air. We know that he'll appear at a turning point to the story, and he'll be released after the Vita version goes on sale. Supposedly he's not even a Darker, but we'll probably have more details by next week. You can head over to ShougaiPSO for more pics.

PSO2 Vita Playable at Jump Festa 2013

Phantasy Star Online 2 Vita version will be appearing at this year's Jump Festa 2013. Those attending can play PSO2 Vita on December 22nd and 23rd. Attendees will also receive the Phantasy Star Series 25th Anniversary Sound Collection after playing.

Alienware Promotional Item

Alienware Japan is distributing yet another promotional item with the purchase of their M14x Premium Laptop or Alienware X51 Premium Desktop.

The item to be distributed is called M＆Aヴァイス/リヒト or M&A Vice /Licht which appears to be based on the M&A 60 Vice weapon from PSO. This is also the first itemcode under the new "Licht" suffix.

 

Misc. Notes

  • Sakai and Kimura had a little chat about paying customers
  • Half of paying customers purchase the Premium Set
  • Implied most paying customers purchase the AC Scratch.
  • Out of all paying customers, only half of those who purchase AC scratch, would buy the Premium Set.
  • Since players can purchase specific features out of the Premium Set, perhaps they feel the set is of no value.
