75 thoughts to “PSO2 JP: Maintenance (5/28/2014)”

  1. All South East Asian players are experiencing the Error code 249 atm. But other foreign players like from the America and from the northern parts of Asia could log in just fine

  2. What the hell?! What the hell's going on with our connection in South East Asian? Don't tell me this is an IP block?

  3. looks like sega IP banned SEA, i can log in fine with a vpn but with my native ip i cant (phillipines)

  4. LOL, I do not wanna quit, I invested so much time and money in that PSO2 JP server, please dun do this to me SEGA

    1. Isn't SEGA liable for lawsuit for outright obstructing from us paying customers from our digital goods? This is currently against the law.

  5. even they IP blocked us, I will never going to move into SEA server -_- I'll just wait them to unblock us or I'll use VPN if its not possible.

  6. Well I'm boycotting PSO2 SEA… I'll never play on that server. Ever, SEGA ended their service on SEA players for the PSO2 JP… and that's it.

  7. Damn… Worst Day Ever… for SEA players… like me "OTL… I've spent too much times and money and Banned without any notice before… I've bought Vita Version too, and this… Goddammit…

  8. Mine shows all the ships are still under maintenance..but when I use Japan VPN to login then it shows all ships are operational…
    I'm from Malaysia…
Do others face the same situation?

    1. Well I do… read comments above, I think it's true they blocked SEA IP…

  9. This is really uncalled for. I spend loads of time, effort and money.

Then how about those premium users??

  10. Please notice me when the IP block are gone
meanwhile i will try to finish my other games that piled for a while

    1. how to use it , i downloaded program and installed vitual network adaptor what i should do next ?

    2. RUn the SoftEther VPN Client Manager

      After install Virtual Network Adaptor

Double click "VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Servers" from the upper list
Choose and double click the IP address you want (Use TCP Protocol) and then OK
if you have error code 2 try to reconnect or choose another IP address and u should be connected (i had choosing lot of IP Address before got the working one).

    1. damn right dude,,, i mean… outdated english version… all the time i spend on PSOjp… and… owh, this is SHIT

      i feel betrayed…

  11. there are also have PSO2TH too (no idea why they have their own server since TH also in SEA too)

PSO2TH open beta since 5/20/2014 and now they have some player sell meseta for money in real life ,700,000 meseta for 1000THB (~30USD) and GM didn't ban those player

hope you have a nice time with Asiasuck

ps. I saw they also sell Ardrillo+1 for 6000THB(~180USD) too

  12. I'm Thai but I swear that i won't play TH server. The TH server is very suck and I have bad feeling because of this.

  13. "You can circumvent this block by reading this tutorial."

AND the link itself is IP Block, great
Why do SEGA even do this :C
It has been 2 years, and NOW they do this, brilliant

    1. asiasoft make sega ip block sea region to make us join their server instead… all my progress and success died…

    2. i dont mind start over… but it wont be the same without all my friends and my lovers from pso2jp… might gonna different case if both isnt region locked… despite it already wideknown for their region lock , why the heck asiasoft need it anyway? they could gain huge profit for bein global as first pso2 with english localisation. or they afraid their crappy server couldnt hold entire b20? puh-lease…

  14. I'm glad to see that so many SEA players from JP are opposing the SEA version; but I think the best we can do now is just NOT to support Asiasoft's version, and pile up the complaints to them. Stay strong guys, and if you miss PSO2JP, forget about the game unless they remove the IP block to JP. Don't cave in to addiction and give the SEA version a try – this is exactly what Asiasoft wants you to do.

Get your consoles and other games out. Try to play those instead.

    1. For me I will continue to play the PSO2 JP … no problem as long as I am using the SoftEther VPN Gate (that I've been using since a year ago to play World of Tanks)
And never ever touch PSO2 Asiasoft SEA… That company sucks…I've played their Ragnarok Online 2 before…and will never support games hosted by Asiasoft anymore…
The sad part is a lot of my SEA friends do not know about what's happening here (Because in their Ship Selection Screen it will be seen as maintenance forever) or simply don't know about using a VPN…
I miss them and will never meet them again in PSO2 Jp (most likely) 。゚(゚´Д`゚)゚。

    2. Unfortunately, for me, my ISP is too horrible to be able to support a VPN connection without lag and frequent disconnects. Even then, I won't go anywhere near PSO2SEA.

Hope for the best, and in the meantime it's up to you guys who are using VPN and have special ISPs to continue the SEA players' legacy in PSO2JP (especially those who can speak Japanese and have Japanese friends). Keep showing them not all of us are like B20.

    3. Sure do…I'll show them we are not like Block 20…
I play on Ship 10 and I use Japanese whenever chatting in public channel and have no problem interacting with them…
I don't see anyone speaking English in Public Channel here (except for mistakenly chatting in the wrong channel lol)
In fact, there are Japanese that expressed concern on Twitter about this and they feel bad/sad that the blocked/banned ip players are unable to bid farewell to fellow comrades…. He/she also felt that PSO2 should give a forward notice for that farewell purpose….

    4. As someone who is studying the language, but can't type the kana out in game, I've always replied with shortcut words instead. ;_;

It's also nice to see Japanese players who are concerned. At least they'll know that we were there at one point.

    5. That's actually relatively uplifting. I'm going to favorite/retweet that post.

  15. Guys, I got an Idea, besides Boycotting SEA, why don't we make a petition? we can ask for NekoG's Help for gathering Japanese Player that willing to join in for this. then we can Re tweet or post the link on PSO2 SEGA's Facebook, anyone with me?

    1. I would be up for this, but I doubt an orderly society like Japan's will want to help us dirt poor 3rd world gaijin get our access back, or even just an extra day just to say goodbye. This is just a game after all, and unless it's an actual natural disaster that takes lives or something proven to cripple people, IRL, folks don't care that much.

Moreover, like many of our western counterparts who can still play on JP servers have cited: we were all breaking the ToS in the first place. Even if we paid them via webmoney and so on, it is in fact LEGAL for SEGA not to acknowledge our existence. And that is all that matters.

Please don't misunderstand. I'm saying we should go for it anyway if there's enough support, but don't expect much from the Japanese players and SEGA, especially when a good portion of them stereotype us as hackers, cheaters and troublemakers.

    2. Better than doin nothing right brother? at least we can inform SEGA about Asiasoft's Moves on system change (If it wasn't on their contract)

    3. True enough.

Although, knowing the kinds of businesspeople from this region, any changes Asiasoft made were probably either authorized by SEGA, or are changes they can get away with in their own version of the game without SEGA's permission. I'm pretty sure SEGA doesn't have a say in how Asiasoft prices AC, either.

I honestly can't blame SEGA for just handing us off to Asiasoft, though. The more I look at the timeline of events that led up to the IP Block, the more I think back to the videos I saw of a hacking incident that happened some time in March…only a month before the Closed Beta was announced.

SEGA probably saw an opportunity to get rid of two birds with one stone (the other bird being a chunk of b20 that has probably been reported by Japanese players many times), and seeing as Asiasoft offered them that opportunity, they gladly took it.

  16. Did Pso2 Taiwan get IP block or not?

If place you stay feel like heaven and they not you allow to live…Next you see red carpet open road to you and point to hell ,come…live in hell will you going in?Hell no!!

  17. No way I'll play PSO2 SEA, we all know how bad asiasucks is, right? even tho I cant play, Ive been keeping my PSO2 jp updated every patch xD

  18. You guys should just all mass boycot PSO2 SEA and leave it a barren wasteland till the company is forced to shut it down and PSO2 JP lifts it's IP ban '-'

    1. This is the general plan. However, there are those who are either desperate or just want to play PSO2 and don't really care if it's JP or SEA. So it's pretty difficult.

There's also the influx of new players from the SEA region who will keep Asiasoft's version afloat, at least for some time. I don't see JP lifting the IP block the moment SEA flops, either, and that itself will take at least a year. Hell, the fact that SEA allows you to keep costumes permanently might already sound like a good deal to SEA MMO gamers who are unaware of the JP version.

It's likely that, if or when Asasoft fails, SEGA will just try to find another SEA publisher, and only if THAT doesn't work, or if the publisher does not ask for an IP ban, will the JP IP block be lifted.

Any way you slice it, we're in for a long wait.

    2. JP allows that too. And they're tradeable. Allowing non-cashers to kill shit and look fab.

SEA on the other hand…. their outfits are BoE (bind on equip).

JP allows recycling old clothing – SEA refuses to let you give it to someone else (wonder if they're afraid of some player-transmitted disease).

Now, on the other hand, if you're referring to SEA allowing players to shop for whatever outfit they desire, then JP might have a problem. But AFAIK, they don't. Soooo…. yeah.

Asiashit… I suggest you file for bankruptcy. Your employees never did have hearts.

    3. guys, got a news from a al that keep bugging me to move on and play SEA server, Assiasyet have lifted the Costume BoE, haven't checked it out but using "BoE Costumes" as weapon to keep ppl away from SEA server won't be as effective now if it was true…… and I also got word, the one who Decided to IP ban is SEGA themself, but like heck I'll believe that, mustave been Assiasyet lies…. anyway, we need to find another weapon to keep ppl away…..

    4. @Aniki: As long as you don't jump in yourself, it's fine. I also have doubts as to how true your friend's statement is – didn't hear about them lifting the costume BoE at all. In the end, reasonable people will listen, people who just want to have fun and don't care, won't.

@Renvalt: I was comparing PSO2SEA's ability to let you keep costumes permanently to most other SEA MMO games like Dragon Nest SEA. Yes, most regular SEA MMOs do NOT let you keep permanent costumes, so PSO2SEA might seem like a good deal to new players.

    5. @Xana too bad, it was true, he dragged me to his room yesterday and show me that costumes now aren't BoE…. hate tu admit it….. guess we need other weapon to fight with

  19. Hmmmm.. they block us from playing on SEA server, does that mean they're gonna release a NA/US ver for us?

    1. It's likely. E3 is right around the corner so maybe sega was holding back to release it on consoles (then pc later)? This would be the year they could release it. 3 years would be a little bit of a stretch.

    2. the only reason ip block is sea region to sea region only , and nobody else, is bc of an exclusive deal with asiasoft , it has nothign to do with sega. pso2 taiwan isnt ip blockes, and players there can go to pso2jp if they please
