  1. Hello. This is about the emergency quest calendar. Arks Leagues seem to vary in duration even when the objective is the same. Therefore, I end up having to verify the duration elsewhere anyway. Would it be possible to include the duration of each league as well in the calendar?
(For example: "1:00AM, Arks League: Riding Quest Hi-score (2 hours)")

Then again, upon closer inspection, it seems that only the Arks Leagues that start past 19JST are the ones that last one hour?

    1. For this we usually include the full duration in the Google Calendar itself, so If you synced it with your mobile device, you'll see the entire duration of each ARKS League Event.

  2. my pso2 activity nowadays:

    >logs in
    >check shop
    >maybe tacos in weekend
    >logs off

    1. I have somewhat the same feeling …
-Eventually try my luck at Extreme Quest Heaven and Hell (f*ck Gal Gryphon so much overpowered)
      – Wanna play in Ultimate Quests Amduscia but not able to 'cause everyone is in these "EXPERT BLOCKS" that I cannnot join.
      – …

So there is no english player who want to actually talk and japanese players join my party eventually and leave without any word written on the end of a quest.
Well, it's not like a CAN communicate with them either, but it hurts somehow that no one is really trying to do something else besides leveling and farming the same maps over and over again …

    2. GitGud(tm) so you can GET into Experts then, scrub. o3o

Also you just described approximately every MMO experience, ever, in that last paragraph. And teams are a thing if you want to be social or smth sheesh.

    3. I was wasting my time and afk like 2 hours there so I could join some expert EQ/UQ, but the idiots are startng it with 3-4 people and it isn't any faster then with 12/2 non pro people. Not going to be online 24/7 so I can be an expert there without premium.

    4. *shrug* He was whining about not getting into the Experts which is basically his own damn fault.

Anyways, I have no idea where you're playing but every time I've felt like trying I've had no problems finding UltAmd PUGs. The CFs are a thing after all.

    5. Just cheese Heaven and Hell with Katana braver. Or tank it out with hunter or wand smack techer. Even summoner has an easy time with it. If you're a rich, super geared force you can do it easily too.

If you wanna socialize, join a team.

As for being stuck leveling and farming the same stuff over and over, congrats, you have discovered the end wall of practically every mmo.

    6. (If you wanna socialize, join a team.)

There. On Ship 10? It's almost dead at times I play PSO.

(As for being stuck leveling and farming the same stuff over and over, congrats, you have discovered the end wall of practically every mmo.)

      You've got me wrong.
I meant the community for it's narrowminded behavior.
Because there is the mainquest to do, that doesnt mean you cant do something different. Well, cant argue in english, cause it's not my native language, but I hope you get how I think in a way.

    7. >ship 10

There's your problem. Gaijins are few and far between outside ship 2 so either you find those few to talk with or learn Japanese if you want to socialize.

And what the Hell does any of the story have to do with any of that? Those are solo quests.

    8. I think you're honestly just expecting too much out of the game. It's very simple at it's core. PSO1 was runs maps and get better gear, PSO2 boils down to the same thing, just in a much funner gameplay style.

    9. Let me guess, you didn't bother grinding/affixing your stuffs with at least 60 atk, didn't max flash guard 1 on hu tree, and didn't have a decent 13* that is max grind + element grind that has a power up and doesn't depend on weak point. Having the above, will give you a decent chance at solo xq, provided you also know how to fight the bosses too. If that still fails, you probably messed up your skill build/mag build (pure atk ftw)/didn't bother getting lv 16/17 PAs/Techs. If you didn't know, well, find a team with knowledgeable people.

But really, too many english players neglect gears/build and just choose cosmetics. Expert blocks are already overrun by undergeared people who made necky EQ so difficult. When many people take over a minute to kill a single mob in necky, the fail is unavoidable. It is not fun when EQ fails so often. Sega is giving a wake up call/power check, whether to wake up will be up to people.

    10. Maxing Flash Guard is pretty much one of those "dump leftover points here" things though…

IIRC I cleared H&H with pretty half-assedly affixed Saiki plus something garbage like stock Invade Katana. It's not terribly difficult if you have any idea of what you're doing and haven't screwed up your build, but unforgiving to squishy setups.

    11. Affixing stuff with "at least 60 atk" sounds really weak in this age of 40% affix boost. People need to get with 150 atk (and 6 or 9 PP). Just put your mind to it and save up for a time.

I have nothing left to do in PSO2 anymore, sadly. Collection file for UQ was super easy, so I've gotten every Gix weapon three, and in some cases five times already. All within two weeks of it being released. (compare this with hunting two weeks straight for one or two Ares drops during the Nabe UQ era). 12* units are underwhelming but I got every single one of those, too. As for the new tower defense… no motivation to stick with it long enough to get new orbit weapons because it's become so blatantly obvious Sega just plans on releasing weapons hardly different from each other for the rest of time instead of working on a much-needed new difficulty level. It's really rather baffling.

    12. TBH theres a lot of japanese players that ignore the attack stat now. Once you hit a certain point your attack increases start to have diminishing returns in how much the number applies to your actual damage.

Theres a big focus on HP and even All Resist currently in the japanese meta (as well as the classic PP focus of course).

    13. Gear affix wise, we're slipping into the era of giving up some attack for more survivability since the upgraded Double + Profound Darkness EQ (rule of thumb is to have a minimum of 1k HP, more being preferable if you don't have any resists) and be sure to boost percentages for your attack (skill tree, weapons, pet candies etc).

I do agree weapons with varying effects should be a thing; which is what I hope for 14 stars. Less of a power creep and more of those old whacky effects.

    14. Funny enough, the Necky's I've failed have involved people who have some pretty great gear. Like mining base 2, 3, 4. It's not all about damage, it's all about map awareness and knowing which targets must be dealt with. All the damage in the world means nothing if you don't go and deal with AIS Exodas, it means nothing if you don't pull hard, fast attacking mobs away from a tower (Decol Malluda alone can utterly destroy one on its own if ignored), it means nothing if the infected gunship is murdering everyone and being ignored, it means nothing if people don't notice and stop Vibrace's bombs being thrown or exploding. It means nothing if you don't defend the bases in an EQ called Mining Base Defense.

The only thing that requires a damage check is Zeta Guranz, who will unleash a tower destroying beam if enough time has passed or when its close to death.

    15. (Not sure a message was needed to be in full Capslock…)

Well, do like me pals. Do something else during two or three months if you're bored (I've been away for two) then return. There will enough new content after that times.

      Or create a new character?

    16. That's what I don't understand. No one seems to get this isn't a game designed for you to be able to crack out on it 24/7 and grind grind grind grind.

This is definitely a casual friendly game made with how little time people in japan have free to them in mind. It's not designed to be a game you pour every waking hour into.

Yet here we are, constant complaints about how theres not enough content and we get "the same thing over and over" and humble brags about how good they are while also blaming everyone else for how often they fail things.

    17. By any chance did you only start playing recently? In my opinion it very much used to be a game designed to "crack out on it 24/7"… before collection files came and changed everything dramatically.

I mean do you remember how dedicated you had to be to get even one ares weapon to drop? It could take a week of spamming the same quest, and then it'll probably troll you and drop a weapon you don't even want. Even when they brought out UQ stones for Nabe and Lilipa it took AGES to get the 250 stones needed for a 15 element slave or nemesis. It was basically PSO:BB-level hardcore item grinding.

Now, as I've stated in another post, I can get a 60-element 13* weapon (Gix, which under certain conditions is better than Austere) for EVERY weapon type in a little over a week of casual playing. The change is so drastic it's hard to even call it the same game. It certainly doesn't feel quite the same anymore, what with there being no motivation to be a rare item collector anymore.

    18. Been playing since beta lol. Used to have to grind free fields 24/7 then Sega straight up said "this wasn't the way we intended the game to be played" and started making changes. The amount of time you're describing for UQ Naberius when it first came out is completely subjective. I know people who found several 13* weapons the first day it was out.

Not to mention you were able to force Anga to spawn very quickly then just abandon the quest. My point is Sega always steers the game towards being more casual friendly. If the initial content is something people grind 24/7, it's usually a mistake on their end and they didn't mean for it to end up that way.

    19. I think the game got more casual after Episode 2 actually, coming from someone who's been playing since week 1, without english patches and everything.

I don't think Ares is a good comparison though, because the game has always been somewhat casual friendly, just it also had the option of better gear to reward players that DID put in many hours. You never really lost anythign without Ares in those days, Ares was basically a badge that said "I put in effort and got my sweet reward!", which I thought was cool. My only complaint is that there's less reward for putting extra time in nowadays, but eh, I still play.

    20. Been playing since open beta, the dark ages when leveling was harsh and you had to run desert free field for hours upon hours upon hours. Ares used to be the "look at the cool shiny thing I managed to get" now that's Austere, which is the best unconditional weapon still, but it's not necessary, just how Ares never was.

Then UQs just boiled down to speedy Anga farms which largely invalidated the rest of the map.

You have to keep in mind the ideal of this game is to be very casual friendly, hardcores get thrown a bone here and there but it's meant to be easy going, especially for people who can't crack out on it.

    21. Gee I don't know, could those 5000-10000 hours spent on the game dull your excitement somehow? You couldn't be the only one that completely lost the mind and reason after quadrillion of 60k meseta TA runs and convulsive eq grinding for god knows what purpose?
Nah, nonsense, you're alone. Better act like you're on /pso2g/ to bathe in even more ironic hatred, as it will totally help your well-being much more than simply stopping to attend daily in a game that bored you to a point of actual insanity.

    22. Take breaks. Play something else. I tend to take like 3-4 month breaks from the game then come back to it.

    23. LMAO. But yeah I have pictures, it's fucking ridiculous what players will gear to do XH content.

Been there, Log in, shop, log off. Then it got to a point when I just didn't even log in, three months, on premium too. You come back, just go live life, do something else. The game will be around when you're ready, and best of all, because PSO2 cycles weapons frequently, you'll always have a chance to get back into the game and not miss a beat.

I just focus on getting meseta and cubes for those 10% affix bonus days. That's end game for me.
