Has it really been years already since ship transfers were lowered to 350? Man, time flies.
Transfers became popular since PI and PD and so they raise it back up… Nice.
Forgive me for being dense, but what is PI and PD? And what do they have to do with making ship transfers desirable?
Profound Invasion (PI) is an Emergency Quest where you fight both Dark Falz Elder, followed by Dark Falz Loser. You can only do it once per Ship. People multi-run it because of Neros, higher 10*+ Rare Drops to gain more Excubes, and you also have a higher chance of getting the 13* Weapons that can drop off them (15% Power to PAs but PAs cost 30% more PP.)
Progeny of the Apocalypse, which is [Profound Darkness] AKA PD, is the big bad of Episode 3 (also the big bad of the Phantasy Star series. It can drop Caliguas and some times Neros, which are needed to purchase Invade / Austere Weapons (both 13* weapons.)
Invade is nice, but relies on Critical hits or DEX in order to off-set the low damage it does because of the poor Damage Variance it has. After you gather them and a lot of other materials, you can turn an Invade into an Austere, which is currently the strongest 13* series you can get your hands on.
Thanks! But would that mean that people actually spend AC just to transfer ships during one of these EQs, just so they can run it an extra time? O.o
PI == Profound Invasion: The EQ where Elder and Loser appear one after the other with no need to do their first phases.
PD == Profound Darkness: The EQ where you get to fight Double and the Profound Darkness who can possibly drop some of the game's current top tier gear.
You can only do each fight once per ship.
Question: I'll receive a new PC soon and of course I'd like to re-install PSO2 in it. What's the best and safer way to do it? Official launcher of Tweaker?
Thanks.
I don't know if it's related or not, but I had someone install using the tweaker, and his shop was broken. I've had several people install using the official launcher and that worked flawlessly.
That sounds like it was a job for Missingfilescheckman!
Do they use Tweaker to launch the game now or still official launcher? I've read that it wasn't that good for a non-japanese OS so that's why I'm hesitating.
I've had no problem using either launcher (official or Tweaker) but the Tweaker has more options, particularly for English-speaking players, so you might want to use that, unless you're fluent in Japanese. 🙂
I don't use any patch since several months now, but I may want to translate again someday… So, if I install everything from the official Launcher, then use Tweaker instead of it to launch and update the game once it's complete, is it okay? (35Gb don't take three minutes to download and install, better be sure of me x))
