  1. Hm…. how about the camo on the list, look like we must buy it because thats imposible they will give us free camo with cool design

    1. Oh, I saw it now.. It’s not gonna be all weapons then? Kinda lame, but they’re on the right track. I’ve been wanting this for a while now.

    1. I tried to read through this and this but still can’t find anywhere mentioned it. Anyway, I guess it will be implemented soon

      By the way,

      ※NPC「ナギサ」のパートナーカードは2015年3月18日(水)定期メンテナンス終了後~2015年4月22日(水)定期メンテナンス開始までの期間で入手可能です。

does this mean we can still call her out on mission after 4.22 maintenance?

    2. oh~ just realized they’re exchange items from his shop, only available for few picked weapons,
it’s NOT letting players to choose their own weapons become camos… a bit disappointing, because I’m still hoping to change the look of my dual blade, but the camos out there are not my type

    3. Disappointing? Shouldn’t be cause that a bit selfish of you, if sega did let players have their own camos then sega would lose money for AC camos and bumped clearly stated, clear as crystal, that item code weapons only can be turned into camos

    4. not totally true, if Sega really consider on that point, they should make their AC camos more unique and appealing. I would say bullet bows or katana have amazing camos, but dual blade don’t have any good choice. in another thought, Saga can even make this custom weapon camo convert function as an AC item

    5. isn’t it a bit early for u to say DB don’t have a good camo? even when katana came out, it just have 1 camo, and a wierd one, a long lamp and it’s box, just give them more time for it, after all, DB got many R12 so early

    6. Zodiac Sign isn’t a good DB camo choice? You don’t like running around with lightsabers? Or would you rather see more dumb-as-hell tree branches and folding fans?

Giving an option to convert weapons to camos, while lovely-sounding, would only ruin the market for camos, because no one would want the ones they release since they already made their own. It won’t happen, so take what you can get or wait for something better.

    7. Perosnally I love Camo Nyau Cerumo. I consider one of the best camo for DB. Yet I haven’t found a decent katana looking camo.

    8. The problem is that weapon camo is a different item. To make all items available for camo use would mean making a separate item alternative for each and every weapon possible.
While it might not be impossible, it would be problematic to make convenient. Camo transfer procedure, which is “letting players choose”, would have to be either ridiculously long shopping list of all weapons in the game, or a cumbersome searching procedure that would have to find camo corresponding to the weapon you want to convert.

    9. Easy solution to that. If they did make every weapon a camo, instead of having a “cumbersome search process,” just make the converted weapon camos untreadeable. This way you only have to search for the weapon you want, and you convert it yourself.

What I really want to see is the ability to activate more than one weapon camo at a time, provided there’s no overlap. I’d like to be able to run a Bow camo and a Katana camo at the same time.

    10. honestly the way they have things like that set up is archaic to begin with. it’s like how zieg has a whole slew of different “trade in” options that are all the same thing: trade one of his weapons back and get back the pass you handed in to get it.
why did they do this? would it not have been simpler to slap a flag on his weapons and let them all be equally valid for one trade option, like with various colors of rappy suit for a colorchange pass? probably. but sega has developed a knack for doing things illogically.
I could almost see it with the “make X weapon into Y camo” thing, but at the end of the day I can’t help think the simpler code option would be to have a “cosmetic weapon slot” that treats any weapon you equip to it as a camo, displaying it’s model/texture instead of the actually active weapon of that type. cosmetic “you see this but get nothing from it” slots are not that complicated. if a hacky nooblet programmers for “indie” game companies can manage such a thing, surely sega’s trained/salaried programmers could… if they got off their ass. it’s not like such an option would preclude them selling camos, either; exclusive designs are exclusive designs. for every person like me who wants to always be swinging talnarda around or something, you still have dozens who want stuff like that *Eclipse thing, or nyau’s pigsticker, or *apoptosis, or what have you.

honestly they should also provide cosmetic unit slots too, at that point.

    11. The solution isn’t a problem, its usability is.
Camo is a separate object with a soft weapon type restriction. Regardless of server architecture, having a separate category generally allows to narrow down the search procedure whenever it happens. Its that the library of camouflage items is shorter and their unusual type binding might allow to check it separately from a multitude of extra weapon entries. In the scope of things these checks might build up incredibly fast.
Multiple camo is likely even more complex issue, because this way the system would have to know which exact weapons are camouflaged and with what. What if you want to camo several partizans with one camo item? What if you want to camo this partizan but not that partizan? What kind of interface would be convenient for this solution?
Having a tie-in option on weapon as an item type is infinitely more performance degrading than having an extra equipment slot of its own item types.

tl:dr; Without actual performance tests of the solution on server load during a peak hour we can only exchange our biased fantasies about no one actually checked them before us, and how an indie junkie can do it better because why not.

    12. not sure how u feel on this, but i do enjoy xieggs camos…with that being said, gl finding the heart of naberius daggers… or rengekotsu katana to even make the camo. as for all weps? ech. too much. that would be insult to those that purposely dont camo, to show off that shiny 12,13, or ultra rar e 11… (im looking at you Xh apoos dual blades) personally i felt that all those special weps… the ones u can convert to camo, were all weps i said”, dam… i likw how this wep looks…. but wow. a 7* lol…..ech! lol. anywbho. soul of wopal camo is nice,, and when we can actually get ret kat, thatl be anotther nice kat camo. or , u know…. just rock the safety scissors from arkumami.

    13. echidna> …what even are you talking about? that post is like… more rambling and incoherent than me on a bad day. the only semi-coherent thing was your attempt at calling any disagreement with how sega’s done things a “biased fantasy”, which is honestly more than slightly insulting and extremely stupid.

  2. ohand, lil tip from ana vid camo user, u CAN use multiple camos at once, at tthe expense of one chat shortcute slot each. u simply set up shorcuts that bwouuld read something like this /mpal1~6 /cmf*CAMONAME . hell, u can even add costumes to it, for that extra dramatic wep change. yea u have to hold onto all those items, but u can swap weps, and camos, at same time, by activating the chat sholrcut. 🙂 hope this helps ppl bc ik alot of ppl still don’t know about it. /mpal1~6 switches to weps 1~6 on palegte, and /cmf*camoname , equips w/e camo is named off. i _ve used as much as 5 camos at once doing it.

    1. I know it took me over ten seconds to realise that was a misplaced space rather than some kind of admission to somehow employing pr0n vids as camos…
      >_>
…I blame too much gchat. And Internets.

Good to know though, I had no idea you could do something like that.

    2. ty ^^ i used to correct spacing typos….but idgaf anymore >< i figuured ppl would figure it out lol. it just takes so long for these to post lol… whos got time to edit that one space after another 3 hours xD and idky but whenever i write in the comments, the letters take f…o…r….e…v…e…er…..t..o…a..p…….p…e…a..r lol. a quick post-read and i see mistakes. but ech! glad the tip helped though ^^b i ended up using tons of camos bc i used to rock the all-crafted weps palettes on a few chars, and we all know how ugly 6* wand is! amirite! x3or laucnhers! is there even one launcher not bigger than my characters? the answer is no T.T its always comiccaly oversized lmao xD and idk if you know me (probably not!xD) im on sbip 2 and my typing sends alot of grammer n*zis into a ferevnt rages ^^ (btw ship 2 cuz…reasons) 😛 i might mispell a word or 37 but im a good player to have in party ^^ its ok bc my companion cube never complains :3
