PSO2 JP: Hard Drive Data Loss Report Form

On September 4th, Phantasy Star Online 2 released an update that unintentionally deleted files off of the victim’s hard drive. Players who encountered this issue will have to complete a bug report form in order to receive assistance.

Qualifying Recipients

  • Those who completed the update that was carried out on September 4th, 2013 at 11:00 ~ 14:42 JST.
  • This problem did not occur for those who canceled the download at some point during that time.

The compensation is split up into two services.

(1) Apology

  • Players can choose between a voucher worth 5000 Yen, or 10,000AC of in-game currency as compensation for the inconvenience this has caused.

(2) Data Restoration

  • Players who are having trouble with the data loss can get in contact with Sega staff. This may include a service call to hard drive restoration experts.

Compensation Distribution Date

  • Sega plans to release the 5000 Yen or 10,000 AC compensation around early October.
  • Sega plans to assist with covering Hard Drive restoration services around early October.

The information submitted in this form will be compared with several data to see if you qualify. They ask that you input your current address and contact information if opting for the cash voucher and/or hard drive restoration service. Sega will also cover any expenses incurred with restoring data from your hard drive. You can complete the form here.
