PSPo2: Fun! Fan! 2 The sequel: PvP Battle Mode, PSO Enemies

fun fan 2

HAIIII! Gurhal Channel 5 PSP Special

Fun!Fan! is hosted by Producer Dragon Satoshi Sakai. He is joined by Yui Ogura, a 14 yr old idol. She previously mocap'd in another game known as Hatsune Miku Project Diva. (Your Collaboration thinking caps should be on so tight by now…)  Yui is cosplaying as Hal, and Arisa Noto, who is a part of the “Hello! Pro Egg“ is just there for the lulz.

This time the video goes over the methods of how to strafe and use a charge shot. You have to press down triangle for quite some time before charge shot can be used.

Three step Technic

triple step technic

three step technics

They briefly go over the three technic attack! The casting animation reminds me of Rogue Wikko. Your character kind of spins around as them, but they do not cast as quickly as Wikko does.

Techers seem to have a godly PP recovery rate. Even after casting 3 technics in succession, the PP bar is completely full.

Mirage Blast

mirage blast

Mirage Blast pretty much looks like an SUV. The Canna Mirage Blast acts almost exactly like Paradi Cataract except that it's lightning. It looks like Mirage Blasts can also tally up the chain combos. Chain Combo is based on the amount of successful normal attacks and the combo will finish if you attack with the triangle button.

New Field

The video also features a new never before seen area!

Opposite Element Effect

Ground vs Lightning. Rocks scatter as you hit!

When you hit enemies with the opposite element, there will be a new animation applied to each hit. In this case, ground element saber hitting a lightning enemy causes rocks to appear!

Battle Mode: Catapult Jump

battle fight

Catapult Jump and Fight to the death!

Dragon Sakai and Ariso Noto battle to the death with Catapult Jump Battle Mission! Players are equipped with a shield and a saber, plus they are all level 1, so this should help balance the feel of the mission. In the first  part, they seem to only fight in the circular area but once Arisa dies, Sakia continue onwards.

multi player battle mode

Phantasy Star Portable 2: Battle Mode!

The second part of the Battle Mode mission had players acquiring energy poles by standing in the round circular areas for a few seconds. You gain 100 points for each energy pole you acquire. You can also steal another team's energy pole. After you are done you will jump around and destroy a tall pillar that prominently displays the other team's color. To slow you down, the mission has extremely large enemies who can kill you and holographic walls placed conveniently in front of the bases you are to destroy. The opposing team may also kill you along the way.

The Magashi Plan: Guide

shredthedarkness

The Magashi Plan

The Magashi plan is a solo mission where if you die the game is over. Lets run through some of the more challenging blocks.

*This post will auto update backwards as information gets added.

Equipment recommendations

  • De Colte Line for Megid
  • Dark Elemental Line Shield
  • Light Elemental Ranged Weapon
  • Ice Elemental Ranged Weapon with Freeze Status Effect
  • Stun / Resist for Bil De Vear

General Tips

  • Pick up all healing items including monomates and dimates.
  • Try not to waste trimates, they don't drop very often.
  • Bringing a gun with you can help against flying enemies.
  • FighMasters can use Tornado Dance through most enemies.
  • Take advantage of enemy boundaries. See where they disappear.

Block C-2

After April 24th, you'll meet up with Leo and Tonnio. For their own enjoyment of not helping you in battle, they will always pick the route you don't choose. To reach Block C-2 you will pick the route that requires the #2 gate key, which is the red gate off to the side.

magashi-plan-block-c-2

Block C-2 is extremely easy to exploit because of the way it's set up. There is a monster barrier right behind the entrance door. As you enter the block there will be two Bil De Vears. Now you can just go in and fight  or we can take the easy way and stand behind the door.

block-c-2-behind-the-door

The Bil De Vears will disappear right as they enter the door behind you, so you can use this to your advantage.  Rangers can shoot long distance weapons like shotguns. Techers can cast long distanced technics, fighters can also use guns or slicers to shoot unless your a FighMaster.

block-c-2-carriguine-above

After your done there's a red weapon unequipper gate at the bottom path. Instead of going in there to kill the Carriguine, stay at the top level and shoot from above. I have found that he doesn't throw Megid from here, but better be safe than sorry.

carriguine-cant-megid-here

Once its dead, run down to the lower path to trigger the next area. Again, we can exploit this by running back upstairs and shooting across the lower path with long distanced weapons or technics. You can alternatively shoot from the lower path but the Carriguine tends to cast Megid.  Once you kill them all you'll reach up to Magashi.

Magashi plays just like he does at Il Cabo Base, he's a little bit easier, but he tends to block your attacks.

Protectors α Disk Location: Adahna Degahna Guide

If your tired of heading off to Parum to defeat the De Ragan, you can face more challenging bosses by taking the right route in Block A. Adana Degahna's spinning might be easy, but Dimmagolus' twisters of sleeping doom will annoy many! Whatever route you choose, you still have a chance to fight Dulk Fakis, just keep trying.

Key Points for Winter Event Missions

  • Winter Event is Located on Cylez City 5th Floor.
  • Winter Event requires up to a maximum of 4 players to join a party.
  • You won't be able to get 10 Chips on Solo for the De Ragan Route.
  • You do not need the expansion pack to play Winter Event.
  • Experience Boost is dependent on location.
  • You may lose Photon Eraser.

Key Points for Disk Locations

  • There are 2 Disks on Each Block except Boss
  • Each Boss has 1 Disk

There are three different routes to reach the boss. You can choose between the De Ragan & De Ragnus Route, or Adahna Degahna & Dimmagolus route. Randomly the game will chose the Dulk Fakis Route, which gives you the chance to receive rare drops and boards as well as the maximum 350% increased experience for those areas.

Block A – All Routes

Winter Event Phantasy Star Universe

Block A is the same for all routes. Equip your gun and find a red switch at the center of the ceiling. Shoot this switch and the disk will apear on the ground. The 2nd disk will appear after you defeat all enemies, and is located in one of the boxes.

Protectors Disk Guide Phantasy Star Universe

Shoot the Switch on the Ceiling and Win Free Disk!

Block B – Adahna Degahna Route

The layout is similar to the Episode 2 story mission. You basically go around killing enemies and finding switches. To the far right indicated by the #3 in the map, there will be a tree. Just use your goggles and destroy the tree and a chip will appear. To the far left, the disk will appear inside a box.

Delicious Tree, You must Shoot!

Block C – Adahna Degahna Route

There is rubble on the floor, use your goggles to find the disk, and destroy the rubble. The next disk is located inside a decoration, use your goggles to find it.

You'd never think you'd find it here!?

Block D – Adahna Degahna Route

Disk #7 is found off to the corner on the right side. Its inside a box so just shoot it and it will appear. Disk #8 is located inside a huge tree on the left side. Just use your goggles, shoot the tree, and the chip will be all yours!

I think Sega hates trees?

Final Block – Adahna Degahna / Dimmagolus

Same as before, you find a box located way off into one of the corners of the arena. Its your job to shoot the box before your party defeats the boss. During the Dimmagolus Boss Fight, after a certain amount of hits the last disk will be in the center of the arena.
