22 thoughts on “PSO2 JP: Extended Maintenance and Patch (10/14/2015)

    1. Uh, how so? It’s only a 7GB “update” but it’s essentially replacing most of what is already installed. It’s only a little bigger than it was before, at the end of all that.

It isn’t 7GB on top of what it is taking up right now.

Without redownloading from scratch you’d need 14GB of space (since vita downloads the installer package, 7GB, then copies that to the system, making a copy of that 7GB, and THEN deletes the installer.) That’s why it’s recommended to delete it and redownload, it’s less space required to get such an update installed.

  1. In preparation for the weapon library titles I’ve cooked up a tool for keeping track of what weapons you have outside of the game.
It’s a simple userscript that you install which adds checkboxes to the weapon listings on the Japanese PSO2 wiki (pso2.swiki.jp). If you wish, you can have the item names translated to match the ARKS Layer translation as well.
Since the wiki also lists where to acquire the weapons, I think this will be pretty useful for anyone that wants to get that bonus damage.

You can install the userscript here: https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/12736-pso2-weapon-library-tool

  2. I hope with the titles my double cannon, yas 8000c, and blanc fluke will surely add some more damage because I can’t play anything better than a bouncer.

  3. Seem maintenance over
and we ll get triboost as compensation too
    So lets go rock…
Oh wait i got error 1015, btw is this just me and my tweaker or everybody got too?
Because when i did run without tweaker seem ok although i couldn’t login ofc

  4. Just logged in and checked the title counter. Okay so how do these boosts work. I get it that they work for your main class. But for example my main character is a TE/RA focusing on using guns as main source of attack so is that damage buff geared towards t-atk only or is it all atk?

    1. I think it’s purely based on the weapon. TE gets a damage boost to Talis, Wand, and Gunslash (up to 10% increase with all boosts gotten). This only affects the weapons a main class uses by nature.

  5. My PSO2 re-patches whenever I try to put the english patch in…
Anyone had/know how to remove this issue plz?
I’ve done run as admin, placed into a diff folder & other methods and it just wont work..

Id rather it was in english since its a lot quicker and easier to read.. Thanks 4 any response

  6. Okay so I’ve began the Ep3 Chpt7 with the first story mission. Please help me to clarify some thinks I’m not sure to understand well… (Spoilers incoming so don’t read if you haven’t do the Quest now)

So, first, we kill Matoi… It’s a fact and the ending launches just after that. The cinematic just after… Does it mean we didn’t really controlled our character but more a Persona who had taken our appearance? Or are we gonna becoming a dark one too? (Sorry Mr SEGA but I don’t really agree with that) I’m a little troubled and the second attempt of the Quest doesn’t really help to understand.

    1. I told not to read if you weren’t here in the scenario, pal ._. But sorry to spoil. I’m really troubled by these scenes. I should go farther in the story to discover by myself…

    2. “Mr SEGA” is Ryohei Uno, scenario part leader. I thought they showed staff cast several times by now.

    3. –SPOILERS–

Although I don’t understand the scene much either, I’m pretty sure it’s the latter. Since Persona is you from an alternate timeline, there logically had to have been an event that caused the timeline to branch out from the ideal path (where you don’t kill Matoi prematurely) and turned you into Persona. To this end, it makes sense that you had turned into Persona so that you could continue the cycle.

    4. (Same, Spoiler, blahblahblah)

I was guessing it was an alternative version of the facts too, and the real events of our character begins when we return to Naberius and fight against the Persona. To be honest I’ve never understood “the player’s character” was the Persona in an alternate timeline.

I’m near the end of the MB now (Just a few events and let’s go to the end.
So, if what you say’s right, I won’t hate Sega for making our real character a dark one… Ahah. x)

    5. SPOILER…. Or not really. I won’t say anything too revealing.

Well… I’ve finished the Episode 3. That was the first time I completed a Matterboard so fast just to have the end of the story.
I won’t spoil, but I had some tears of emotions at the end of the Story Quest. (Maybe I’m TOO emotive… Maybe I love these characters and mine to much)

So, Akane… Thanks for your thoughts that made me believe some things and understand some others. 🙂
